Unplanned Hiatus

I really didn't mean to be gone so long. For a while, I was just not in the mood to write. Then I got busy and the blog got shoved to the bottom of the list. I plan to start blogging regularly again in the new year.

I am busy right now taking a Photoshop class and with finishing up calendar projects I am doing for others. (I can only sit so long in front of this computer before the knees stop working.)

I have ordered Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate which should be here before the week is over. I found it for a very reduced price at Amazon. I have some ideas for more PSP tip posts. Now I will be able to test them out in the newer version, which was my reason for ordering X2.

My workflow with Photoshop has actually improved. Some processes have finally ingrained themselves enough to become automatic. The practice is the main reason I am taking another class. Homework assignments make me work at it. And I always learn some new things.

I finally started enjoying PS after I found other ways to do things besides those icky keyboard shortcuts that so many people think are the only way to go. They just slow me down. Linda Sattgast at Scrapper's Guide is very good at showing alternate ways. She never makes a big deal out of it, just varies the way she does something in her videos. Then you can decide what way works best for you.

I continue to be a right-click mouse person and I am learning more and more ways to use that in PS. I still miss an undo button, but I caught myself using Ctrl+Z in PSP recently. Yikes!

Have a good holiday season!
